Pet Services Journal - April/May 2009 Issue

I seem to receive more magazines than I can read, and they tend to accumulate on my desk. I saw a Time Magazine the other day that predated the US election. (I wonder who won?)

I just found the April/May 2009 issue of the Pet Services Journal, printed by the Pet Care Services Association (PCSA) in the States. The PCSA was formerly the American Boarding Kennel Association (ABKA), and we have been a member for quite some time --- since we started to design the kennels in 1996 or thereabouts.

I remembered that the PCSA hired a freelance journalist, Roxanne Hawn, to write a "Member Profile" about the Lucies Farm Ltd. Luxury Dog Resort --- so I opened the magazine, half expecting to find a quarter page or so. Or nothing.

I found, instead, a glorious five page article, with lots of colour photographs, and mention of almost every company that does business with us --- from the folks who provide our disinfectant (Wallace Cameron in Scotland) to the people who forward our mail and packages from the States (Voyager Mail Forwarding in Islamorada, Florida).

There's even a sidebar about our problems with our neighbour --- called the Fussy Neighbour Drama. The article indicates, "The full sordid (and often ridiculous) tale is documented via blog," and the link to this blog is provided.
